A Special Message from Crownlinks
On June 21, 2017, Crownlinks Coffee, started to receive emails from people informing us that our brand name and one of our URLs were being used in an apparent phishing scheme.
Our primary website domain name is www.crownlinks.com.
However, the URL, www.crownlinkscoffee.com is a secondary domain name for our website and normally when that address is used it just forward to crownlinks.com.
It appears that hackers were able to access our domain account changed the crownlinkscoffee.com to another server in Russia which contained malicious code. As soon as we learned of this incident, we informed our digital team, and with their help, we regained control of our domain. It was then redirected back to this page.
Our digital team is working with their domain registrar support staff to determine exactly how this breach happened and how to prevent it in the future.
Unfortunately, the damage has been done to you, the people who have received these phishing emails and Crownlinks Coffee brand.
We are a family owned micro-business. Crownlinks Coffee works with small, family owned farms, that are located primarily in Haiti. These farms specialize in small batch, free trade, and fair trade coffees. In fact, we call our coffee “relationship coffee,” because we maintain direct relationships with the growers.
The proceeds from every sale of our free trade and fair trade coffee go directly to support the mission of helping the people of Haiti. We support Radio 4VEH — a Christian radio station broadcasting across Haiti and a lifeline for listeners in towns and remote areas of Haiti.
